  14. We couldn't agree more.  The day there is a "simple" instruction kit
  15. with perhaps platform specific attachments will be one worth waiting for.

  33. ?? Uggh as if we haven't got enough problems. 
  34.  Can somone advise is it worth using the patch or not?
  35. If not which patch number should we institute?

  37. How can I tell which kpathsea I have?  My reading of the files suggests that
  38. the "distributed" kpathsea needs to be patched, but the ChangeLog and NEWS 
  39. document up to version 2.4 suggesting these documenting changes already made.

  41. Also, making xdvi we got some link errors as follows:

  44. sh configure --prefix=/usr/nefertiti2/TeX/usr/local --x-libraries=/usr/openwin/lib --x-includes=/usr/openwin/include
  45. make

  47. which gave heaps of stuff as you'd all know ending with:

  59. The xdvi executable was still made though, so what `default' failed and do I have to worry about it?
